More than 200 years ago, in 1780, Kingston became home to the first Farmers' Market in Ontario. As pioneers settled the rest of the province, the popularity of these markets grew until recent times with the advent of the grocery store.

Ontario has seen a rejuvenation in the number of Farmers' Markets and Family Farm Fruit & Vegetable Stands as consumers are choosing fresh, locally grown food. Since 1980 the number of Farmers' Markets has more than doubled.

	Petrolia Farmers' Market The Petrolia Farmers' Market is located at the Greenwood Arena, 4065 Dufferin Ave.
	Grand Bend Farmers' Market The Grand Bend Farmers' Market is located in the Gill Steet Parking lot in Grand Bend (corner of 81 Crescent St. & Gill Road).
	Sarnia Farmers' Market The Sarnia Farmers' Market is located at the corner of Ontario and Proctor Streets in Sarnia.
	Locally Lambton Area farmers, in partnership with the Lambton Federation of Agriculture, help to produce a Locally Lambton Food and Fun Map to promote Sarnia-Lambton's local highlights. The map details locations that offer items such as meats, fruits and vegetables, furniture, fun, yarn, wool and more.
