Born and raised in Winnipeg, Denise Fortin is best described as a whimsical artist. Her journey into the arts has evolved via the matrix of Yoga as well as Reiki. Bridging the gap between the Spiritual realm and that of the human is what motivates her as an artist. Her vision is to create works which heal those who view them.
Growing up, Jillian wondered why Sarnia had very few historical buildings and such little character. As she started doing research, Jillian came across an abundance of beautiful building and structures.  These buildings once stood in the place of Sarnia’s now vacant, depressing Downtown core that was once flourishing. People actually enjoyed visiting “Old Sarnia”. A great deal of damage occurred in 1953 when a tornado tore through the Town.  Many of these historical buildings were never reconstructed.
