Community Initiatives

Local Immigration Partnerships are collaborative by their very definition. The Sarnia-Lambton LIP works closely with a number of initiatives which are related to the community's Settlement Strategy but independent of the LIP. Representation on these groups helps to maintain LIP Council's connection with them and provides a forum to advocate for immigrant and newcomer needs.

Equity and Inclusive Education (EIE) Committee

The purpose of the Equity and Inclusive Education Committee is to provide feedback on and assist in the implementation of the Diversity and Religious Accommodation Policy created by the Lambton-Kent District School Board (LKDSB) which is in response to Ontario's Equity and Inclusive Education Strategy. The committee is comprised of organizations and individuals from both Lambton and Kent Counties.
